About revolv
Meet Dr. Ben Hoskyn, Founder of revolv Endurance
revolv Endurance was founded by Ben Hoskyn, Doctor of Physical Therapy and endurance coach, with a mission to revolutionize how athletes approach training through injury prevention and holistic performance optimization. After earning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Pacific University of Oregon, Ben has dedicated his clinical practice exclusively to treating endurance athletes at a specialty clinic, working with runners and cyclists every single day.
What sets Ben apart isn't just his clinical expertise—it's his intimate understanding of the endurance athlete's journey from both sides of the treatment table. As an active runner and cyclist himself, Ben has experienced firsthand the common pitfalls that lead athletes to his clinic: poor training volume management, inadequate integration of life stress into training decisions, and the cascade of problems that result from ignoring early injury warning signs. These personal experiences, combined with his professional insight, fuel his passion for prevention-focused coaching that addresses the athlete as a whole person, not just a training plan.
Ben's methodology bridges the gap he identified in traditional endurance coaching—the lack of truly holistic planning that considers the athlete's complete life context. In his clinical practice, he consistently sees preventable tendon injuries that could have been avoided with smarter training integration and life-stress management. By combining his clinical experience of injury patterns with real-time awareness of each athlete's life circumstances, Ben creates training programs that work with your life, not against it—recognizing that sustainable performance comes from intelligent integration of training load with life load.
At revolv Endurance, Ben is committed to helping runners (with plans to expand to other endurance disciplines) train smarter from day one. Rather than waiting for injury to force smarter decisions, Ben's preventive approach helps athletes unlock their full potential while building resilience that lasts for years to come. Because the best PR is the one that doesn't cost you six months of recovery.
About the Name
The name revolv draws from two key ideas embedded in the word revolution:
A cyclical motion around a central point — like the rhythm of a pedal stroke, a running gait, or a swim stroke.
A fundamental shift — a move away from outdated norms toward a smarter, more personalized approach to endurance coaching.
It also echoes the word evolve, reflecting the gradual, intentional progress that defines every well-designed training plan.
Together, revolv represents both purposeful motion and transformation — the essence of endurance sport and the philosophy behind our coaching.
Core Philosophy
Training should fit your life — not the other way around.
Ignoring the stress, demands, and realities outside of training is a fast track to burnout. I’ve learned this the hard way.
Health is performance.
You don’t have to choose between feeling good and performing well. True performance is built with both.
Longevity matters more than short-term PRs.
Long-term consistency is where real growth happens. Prioritize the process, and the PRs will follow.
It’s not just about doing more — it’s about doing better.
