Getting Started
What makes revolv Endurance different from other coaching services?
As a Doctor of Physical Therapy who works exclusively with endurance athletes, I bring a unique perspective that combines clinical expertise with performance coaching. I don't just write training plans—I help you understand how your body moves, recovers, and adapts while considering your entire life context. My approach focuses on injury prevention and sustainable performance with the intent of avoiding injury to the best of our ability!
Do I need to be an experienced athlete to work with you?
Not at all! Whether you're training for your first 5K, chasing a Boston qualifier, or toeing the line of your first ultra-marathon, I work with athletes at all levels. My holistic approach is especially valuable for newer athletes who want to build a strong foundation and avoid the common pitfalls that lead to injury and burnout.
What sports do you coach?
I currently focus on runners, with plans to expand to cycling and other endurance disciplines. My clinical experience includes working with both runners and cyclists daily.
How quickly can I get started?
Once you sign up, we'll schedule your onboarding session within 7-10 days. This includes your intake review, movement analysis, and initial plan setup. You'll have access to your first training week shortly after.
Training & Services
What does a typical week of coaching look like?
Every client receives a personalized training program delivered through TrainingPeaks, along with a weekly 30-45 minute video call to discuss your training, address concerns, and plan ahead. I'm also available via text and call during business hours for ongoing support and questions.
Do you provide nutrition guidance?
While I can offer general guidance on fueling and hydration strategies, I'm not a registered dietitian. For specific nutritional needs or meal planning, I'll refer you to qualified professionals I trust.
What is the Hybrid Add-On and do I need it?
The Hybrid Add-On includes two in-person sessions per month for hands-on coaching like strength training, movement analysis, or race preparation. It's completely optional—many clients achieve excellent results with virtual-only coaching. If you're local to the area and prefer some in-person guidance, it can be a valuable addition.
What if I miss a scheduled session?
Life happens! Just give me 24 hours notice and we can reschedule. Sessions missed without notice may not be rescheduled, as this time is specifically reserved for you.
Technology & Tools
What is TrainingPeaks and do I need experience with it?
TrainingPeaks is the industry-standard platform for endurance training. Your coaching fee includes a Premium athlete account (normally $130/year or $20/month). I'll walk you through everything during onboarding—no prior experience needed.
What devices or apps do I need?
Technically, you don’t need anything! However, any GPS watch or smartphone with a running/cycling app will definitely help. Popular options include Garmin, Apple Watch, or apps like Strava. The key is consistency in tracking your workouts.
Can you work with my current training devices?
Absolutely! TrainingPeaks syncs with virtually all major fitness devices and apps, so you can keep using whatever you're comfortable with.
Pricing & Commitment
Why do you charge a start-up fee?
The start-up fee covers the extensive onboarding process: comprehensive intake review, movement analysis, initial plan setup, and TrainingPeaks integration. This ensures we start with a solid foundation tailored specifically to you. The fee is reduced or waived entirely with longer commitments.
Can I change my plan or add services later?
Yes! You can add the Hybrid Add-On at any time. However, commitment discount changes require completing your current commitment period first.
What happens if I get injured during coaching?
This is where my PT background really shines. I'll help assess the situation, modify your training appropriately, and guide you through the recovery process. If needed, I can refer you to trusted healthcare providers. The goal is always to address issues early before they become major problems.
Do you offer refunds?
All payments are final once processed. However, if you have concerns about the service, please reach out immediately so we can address them and find a solution that works for both of us.
Health & Safety
Do I need medical clearance before starting?
If you have any health conditions, injuries, or concerns about your ability to exercise safely, please consult with your healthcare provider before beginning any training program. I'll also ask about your health history during our intake process.
What if I have a previous injury?
My PT background makes me uniquely qualified to work with athletes who have injury histories. During our intake, we'll discuss your injury history in detail and create a plan that works around any limitations while addressing movement patterns that may have contributed to past issues.
Is this medical treatment or coaching?
This is coaching and education, not medical treatment. While my physical therapy background informs my approach, the services provided under revolv Endurance are strictly coaching-based. For any medical concerns, I'll refer you to appropriate healthcare providers.
Logistics
What are your business hours?
Hours are relatively Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM Mountain Time. I respond to messages within 24 hours during business hours. Considering I also have a full-time caseload as a physical therapist, I may not get back to you right away.
How do I communicate with you between sessions?
Text and email are the best ways to reach me for quick questions or updates. For longer discussions or urgent matters, we can schedule a phone call.
What if I need to travel or have schedule changes?
One of the benefits of working with me is that I understand life happens! I'll adjust your training around travel, work demands, family commitments, and other life factors. Just keep me informed so I can modify your plan accordingly.
Can I pause my coaching if needed?
For month-to-month clients, you can cancel with 14 days notice. For commitment plans, we can discuss temporary modifications during challenging life periods, but the commitment terms remain in effect.
